Creative Art Monster Lab – for the age group 12+ – end August/Sept.

In this fun and experimental art workshop for older children and teenagers we will discover a whole new level of creative play, explore drawing & painting processes and create new sculptures out of recycled soft toys.

During a whole week we will have the possibility to discuss different approaches to creative works, we will be drawing, planning and painting but the essential work during this week will be to use recycled soft toys to create a new kind of sculptures or assemblages, by taking them apart and reassembling them in a different form, creating new meaning and an overall new context and bringing very individual and exciting little art monsters of their own – kind to life!

The Classes are taking place in English, French and German at my studio in Belair27, rue Jean Bertholet from Monday 31st August to Friday 4th September every afternoon from 17.00 – 19.00. Despite the slightly more difficult situation regarding the Corona virus I am still able to offer small group classes of a maximum of 6 participants, following the given hygiene rules by the Luxembourgish government.

During this workshop the students are encouraged to experiment with different materials and express themselves on paper and three dimensionally. The great advantage of this week long workshop is that bigger art projects can be worked on in a continuous flow and the students will be encouraged & working at their individual pace. All sessions end with a group reflection phase in which the students will also learn to express themselves verbally about their creative processes and creations.

The course fee is 360 Euros for the set of 5 art classes and includes all materials. The fee is payable on subscription and I hope you do understand that refunds will not be available. Should there be a difficulty to continue the classes at the studio due to the pandemic, I will try to continue the classes as life streaming sessions. The participants should wear clothes that can get dirty or should bring an apron that protects their clothing.
