“Alice in Wonderland” a theme driven mixed media workshop – starting in November 2021

In this 5 weeks mixed media art class we will explore how to create art works inspired by an overall theme. Alice in Wonderland the beautiful kids classic by Lewis Carroll will be a wonderful surreal inspiration for our individual creative discoveries. We will tackle techniques as drawing, painting and collaging and will use freeing processes that help you to express your artistic responses to the theme.
It would be helpful if you would refresh your memory of the story and prepare a little folder with visual inspirations that you would like to work with even though there will be a prepared vision folder.

The class is a freeing, process driven painting workshop for all levels of students that want to learn how to express themselves freely with colours and learn how to develop a theme. The explorative way in which we will use the materials is great for beginners and experienced artists a like. The participants will be encouraged to trust themselves and their painting process and will learn to creatively react to challenges that might appear on their paths. Due to the small number of participants each student will be encouraged at a personal level.

The workshops take place at my atelier in Belair on Wednesday evenings from 19.00 – 21.00 or on Thursday mornings from 10.00-12.00. The classes will start on the 10th/11th November and go through to the 8th/9th December.
The course fee for the set of 5 classes is 360€ and is payable on subscription. Should there be a difficulty to continue the classes at the studio due to the pandemic, the classes continue as life streaming sessions and I hope you do understand that refunds will not be available.

To book the class or in case you do have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me and please feel free to share with your friends.

I am looking forward to an exciting autumn class!
Warm regards,

Would you like to bring more creativity into your life? Drawing is a fabulous way to tune in, sharpen your perception and open your eyes to the world around you. With only a few tools you can take your creative practice to all places and lose yourself in mindful creation.

Inspired by Paul Klee’s definition:

We will be exploring varied drawing materials and their use for different subjects. All exercises are chosen in such a way that the class is really targeted at all art enthusiasts from beginner to advanced. The classes are never exactly a total repetition of previous drawing classes, so they are also a great option for previous students to deepen their understanding of the process and further develop their drawing skills. The small number of participants encourages individual and group feedback.

On Tuesday and Thursday afternoon during school term I am offering regular kids classes for the age group 6 – 12 years. The classes will be taking place in English, German and French at my studio in Belair.

In 10 classes of 120 minutes, we will playfully explore the impact of colours and shapes of the world that surrounds us. And the children are encouraged to follow their creative instincts & find their very own expression through experiments with different materials, techniques and styles. The practical part of the course is essential but we will be also discussing other examples of art and our own creations and as such learn how to talk about art and learn from each others experiences.

Due to security reasons around the Corona virus the class sizes are still reduced to a max. of 6 children and sessions take place on Tuesday afternoon from 15.30 – 17.30 and on Thursday afternoon from 14.00 – 16.00.

The Tuesday classes will start on Tuesday 14th September 2021 and go through to Tuesday the 7th December. There are no classes during all Luxembourgish school holidays and on the 12th October. The course fee is 450 Euros (for a set of 10 classes) and includes all materials.

I will inform you about a week before the classes start which rules will be applicable then.
