The painter Sonja Soyer strives in her work to catch the singularity of a moment or a landscape. She is fascinated by rhythms, structures and objects - in inside and outside spaces that she captures from her own, very specific point of view.
She is a passionate painter, works on canvas, paper and cardboard and uses colour and composition in order to express her perception of the world. Her works also transmit the sheer happiness of artistic expression.
Sonja Soyer’s paintings mirror the desire for landscapes, for nature and objects that the viewer seems to know, but that he has probably never seen like this before – her works open eyes for the familiar and the mysterious.
Sonja Soyer lives and works since more than ten years in Luxembourg, where since the end of her art studies, she is also working in the area of the new media and marketing.
